What you keep in BBQ

Your plans, shopping list, bill, journal and its photos are stored only on your iPhone. They are not sent anywhere and are deleted if you delete the app.

The camera

“Check the fire” reads the colour of the image on your iPhone to estimate whether the coals are ready. Images are not saved and do not leave the device. If you choose a photo, only that photo is read.

Location and weather

If you ask for the weather, BBQ uses your approximate location to request the forecast from Apple Weather (WeatherKit). Apple handles that request under its privacy policy; BBQ does not store your location.

Apple Intelligence

When you describe a barbecue, the text is processed by Apple’s on-device model. It does not leave the device.

Purchases

The one-time purchase is handled by Apple through your Apple Account. BBQ never sees your payment details.
