What Semitono is
Semitono is an app to learn music from scratch on iPhone, iPad and Apple silicon Mac, with four paths built on a shared core: guitar, piano, singing and solfege. It has 80 lessons that explain how things work before giving you the rule: why there are twelve notes, why the guitar neck repeats itself, why a sung note goes flat at the end of a phrase. It also has a tuner, a metronome, ear training, sight-reading, a voice studio and a practice plan that changes every day.
It used to be called Armonía: same app, same progress, same purchase.
No subscription: the full version is a single payment. No account, no ads and no analytics.

Frequently asked questions
What do I need?
An iPhone or iPad with iOS 26 or later, an Apple silicon Mac, or an Apple Vision Pro. You don't need an account or an internet connection. The full version is bought once and works on all your devices with the same Apple Account.
What is the microphone used for?
For the tuner, the voice studio, the chord detector and the recorder. Sound is analysed live, on the device, and never sent anywhere. Only the recorder keeps audio, and it keeps it on your device.
How does it sync between my devices?
Through iCloud, with your Apple Account. Your progress is stored in your private iCloud database and merged with what you already had, without overwriting it. If you'd rather not use it, turn off iCloud for Semitono in the system settings and the app keeps working locally.
What is free and what isn't?
Free: the full tuner and metronome, the first four phases of the course, the daily plan, spaced review, ear training, the piano, the fretboard, scales, chords and the circle of fifths. The full version adds the nine advanced phases of the course, working out songs by ear, the recorder, sight-reading, the full song library, feedback on what you play and unlimited questions to the tutor.
I have a code
In Settings, open the full version and tap Redeem a code. This opens the App Store sheet for redeeming codes, the same one used for gift cards. You can also redeem it in the App Store itself: tap your profile picture → Redeem Gift Card or Code.
Does the AI tutor send my questions to a server?
No. It uses the language model Apple runs on the device. If your device doesn't support it, the app still answers by searching the lessons of the course.
Are there ads or tracking?
No ads, no analytics, no advertising identifiers and no third-party code.
